Formidable Australian Wicket Keeper Opener Adam GIlchrist, whose flamboyance and class was unprecedented and instilled threat amongst the most menacing bowlers of his generation, has unravelled on Twitter that he could not make it to the all stars Games occurring in the United States this month
The first match, that happened in the majestic CITI field stadium in New York, saw Warne’s Warriors easing past Sachin’s Blasters. The initiative, commenced by Sachin and Warne to popularise Cricket in the United States with 30 all stars competing against each other in two teams, has been welcomed and relished by the universal cricket fans, but speculations remained over why the likes of Adam Gilchrist, Brett Lee, Shane Bond and Rahul Dravid failed to make a cut.
Gilchrist not only replied to Herschelle Gibbs, who was also missing out this year but also cited date issues and other salient commitments for missing the cricket extravaganza. The swashbuckling southpaw who would derail any bowling attack in the world was missing this year, with the fans anguishing his absence and would certainly ensure playing in the next edition of the cricket hysteria.
He tweeted this
Hey bud. No, timings didn’t work for me for this US trip. Maybe future matches if there are more. Kepke https://t.co/5IMO4izqVj
