The holder of the fastest half century record in tests, Misbah-ul-haq has been the captain of the Pakistan Cricket team for a long time and has led them from front on many occasions. However, the calm Misbah lost his Land Cruiser to the Federal Board of Revenue and Taxation, for non-payment of taxes and duty.

This is not the first time that Misbah has been involved with the FBR. The FBR froze all of Misbah’s bank accounts in October last year. The reason for it was said to be the non-payment of taxes amounting to almost 3.9 million rupees.

Other players along with Misbah who were facing financial problems with the FBR met with the Federal minister of Finance, Ishaq Dar in Islamabad. The matter of the accounts of these players was then settled but Misbah has again landed into trouble and got his SUV taken away.

Sources said that the land cruiser was taken away as per the records of the FBR. It was said that the SUV was taken in lieu of unpaid custom duty and taxes that were applicable on the vehicle. The source also revealed that Misbah was given a prior notice to settle all the dues in regard to taxes and duty and that the vehicle was seized after due time.

The captain is all set and getting ready to play Sri Lanka at home in a three test match series to be played in the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
