According to Sky Sports, Chelsea striker Loic Remy is set to join Crystal Palace on a season-long deal.
The 29-year old have failed to pin down a place in the first team since his move to Chelsea from QPR in 2014. He is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer with a number of clubs showing their interest in signing him.
The French international was used as an impact substitution by previous managers and his future looks uncertain at Stamford Bridge after the signing of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille this summer.
Remy have now fallen further down in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge with Diego Costa and new signing Batshuayi ahead of him which could hamper his playing time in the on-going season.
Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is key to add another striker to his squad going into the season as he set his sights on Loic Remy after signing Christian Benteke from Liverpool earlier this summer for a massive £32m.
Pardew have already worked with Remy at Newcastle where the French striker made huge progress in his career after which he secured a move to Stamford Bridge. Remy scored 14 goals in 24 Premier League games for Newcastle on loan from QPR the season before his move to west London.
The loan of Remy would benefit both the player and the club as new manager Conte is keen to add one more star forward before the end of the transfer window and has been heavily linked with Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez.
