WWE: What to Expect From This Week’s Smackdown Live: December 12th, 2017

It is going to be the last episode of Smackdown Live before we get the Clash of Champions PPV on this upcoming Sunday. It will also be the final PPV event of the year 2017 which means WWE would like to close the year on a high. So, tonight we expect to witness a grand buildup to the event.

A big-time main event got announced where Shinsuke Nakamura will return to action on TV after quite sometimes. Also, a contract signing will take place for the WWE Championship match between the two competitors. There will be plenty of fallouts from last week’s announcements too, as the show will emanate from the US Bank Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Shane McMahon’s announcement from last week turned the table upside down for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Their career will be on the line in the tag-team match at the Clash of Champions which means this could be the last time that we might spot them in the blue brand, ever.

Meanwhile, the personal vendetta of the commissioner continues against the heel superstars, as he has now put one of them into a match against The Artist in a singles match. Sami Zayn will be forced to go against Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event. Going by the intensities, we can expect all hell to break loose during the contest.

Jinder Mahal will be riding high after the successful WWE Live in India tour where he had taken Triple H to the limit. It was also interesting to see the Singh Brothers standing by his side on the show after the attack from a couple of weeks ago. It would be interesting to see if the bond would still be intact during the contract signing, tonight.

Natalya is expected to have one last confrontation with her nemesis Charlotte Flair before heading into the Lumberjack title match on this Sunday. All the female superstars will be involved in it, and hence they would also like to make their presence felt on tonight’s show including Carmella who might sneak into cash-in Money in the Bank at the PPV. Tonight, a tag-team match will take place between The Riott Squad and the team of Tamina, Lana, and Carmella.

Rusev and Aiden English have plenty of momentums by their side with the Rusev Day gimmick. They will take on against The Usos in a tag-team match. Also, Dolph Ziggler got inserted into the US title picture at the last moment which is why he would continuously try to make his presence felt as the contender.
