Jaydev Unadkat will represent Rajasthan Royals for third consecutive year as the franchise bought him for Rs 3 Crore.
There was a time when he only got one bid from Rising Pune Supergiant in IPL 2017 auction. That year, he scalped 24 wickets to make his India comeback. It also benefitted him in IPL auction as Rajasthan Royals spent Rs 11.5 Crore to buy him at IPL 2018 auction. Unadkat scalped 11 wickets in his maiden season with RR and was released.
Next year, Rajasthan again bid for the left-arm pacer and Unadkat emerged as the biggest gainer after being sold for an amount of Rs 8.4 Crore. He scalped 10 wickets in IPL 2019 and the franchise again released him.
Unadkat has been in form of late and was expected to fetch a big bid in the auction. He has been part of Kolkata Kight Riders, Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), RR, Rising Pune Supergiant and Royal Challengers Bangalore. In 73 IP matches, the left-arm pacer has scalped 77 wickets. Unadkat is currently leading Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy.
