Indian men’s hockey team seal the series against France

The Indian men’s hockey team beat France in the second hockey test by 4-1 in France just few hours ago. It was an excellent display by the Indian team who outplayed the French team in all departments and created a lot of pressure on French defense.

India started on a positive note as they held possession to push the French team back with short passes. Rupinder Pal Singh earned the first penalty corner but was well saved by the French goalkeeper. India earned two more penalty corners. The second penalty corner was converted by Gurjinder Singh to give India a 1-0 lead. At the end of first quarter India led 1-0.

In the second quarter, France fought back hard and scored an excellent field goal to equal the score at 1-1 with 9 minutes to go. India scored the 2nd goal before the end of the second when Mohmmad Amir Khan scored by rebound shot to give India 2-1 lead. At the end of second quarter India led 2-1.

In the third quarter France created back to back chances but P Sreejesh saved some excellent shots from France. France earned a penalty corner but was well saved by P Sreejesh again. India made an excellent move after the penalty corner as Gurjinder scored a brilliant goal to give India 3-1 lead. At the end of 3rd quarter India led 3-1.

In the 4th quarter India played dominating hockey. Rupinder Pal Singh earned a penalty corner and penalty corner was converted into goal to give India 4-1 lead. The Indian team took full control of the match in the final quarter of the match.

After this match India will play Spain in the three match series.
