WWE is going through a terrible time right now. Reports suggest that the Women’s Tag Team titles may get defunct soon. The women’s division is even worse than the men’s division. The way WWE started the women’s revolution 5 years ago, it seems like WWE is planning something really big for women. It was going really well until the covid-19 pandemic struck and everything had been shuffled badly.
The women’s Tag Team division in WWE is even worse. The title was introduced back in 2018. Everything started in a very good way, but right now it is going really awful.
WWE To Cancel Women’s Tag Team Championships?
After the recent releases, SmackDown has only 5 wrestlers in the squad who can have singles feud right now. And among them Bianca Belair is being built in a boring Unstoppable way. This is the biggest problem with WWE remained for years, when they start to push someone, that particular wrestler becomes unstoppable completely. And when he or she is losing his or her push, the individual becomes extremely fragile, something that is totally meaningless.
Bianca Belair right now is completely unstoppable. No one can beat her. And this is the biggest reason why she is getting boring day by day. And at SmackDown she does not have many contenders either. She is currently having feud with Bayley whom she has beaten already and will beat in future again.
Now let’s talk about the women’s Tag Team division. With search a week women’s roster in WWE right now, WWE released four women within a month and all of them could be utilised well. Two of them were the most regular and entertaining tag team in the women’s division, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. These releases raised a lot of questions.
And with the to more women released recently, it is quite clear that WWE is deliberately messing up the Tag Team division of women because both women were involved in Tag teams. With these releases, they broke two more tag teams.
But why would they do it when they can clearly see that the women’s Tag Team division is suffering terribly? They are not only is bending the tag teams but also releasing wrestlers from the existing tag teams. It must be a clear indication towards a sabotage of the women’s Tag Team division.
